How to maintain step and step traction rack

1. Step maintenance

(1). Check item: Step Chain

   Inspection content:

       Stop: Whether there is wear and damage, degree of lubrication

   Work: ——

      Measures: If there is a lack of lubricating oil, it needs to be added

(2). Inspection item: Step Roller

   Inspection content :

       Stop: for wear and damage

   Work: Noise

      Measures: If the stepped pulley bearing fails, the entire pulley needs to be replaced

(3). Inspection items: Step

   Inspection content :

       Stop: installation status, whether or not, damaged and loose

   Work: gap between apron board and rungs

      Measures: If the step slot needs to be replaced

(4). Inspection item: Comb Plate

   Inspection content :

       Stop: installation condition and damage

        Work: Clearance between comb plate and step slot

      Measures: If the comb teeth are damaged, they need to be replaced

2. Maintenance of step traction rack

(1).Inspection of the step shaft and traction rack, the steps must be detached Before checking the step shaft and the traction rack.

     Make sure the backstop rings are against both ends of the step shaft.

    Check whether the surface of the step shaft pulley is worn or peeled off.

    Check that all pulleys rotate properly.

    Make sure there are no unusual sounds when the escalator is running.

    Make sure there is no rubber rubbing noise from the traction rack pulley.

    Check the degree of wear of the bearings (plastic and metal).

    Make sure that the step shaft rotates normally.

    Check that the locking ring is in the bushing. If there is a loose phenomenon, the components of the step shaft will move sideways and rub against the apron plate.

(2). Step shaft and step traction teeth

      When removing the steps, it is necessary to clean the step shaft, traction sheave, and traction rack.

(3). Lubrication of step shaft and traction rack

      Special lubricants for elevators should be used to lubricate the traction racks and bearings.
