Inspection and maintenance of drive chain

1. The structure of the drive chain

The driving device is transmitted to the transmission chains on both sides through the reducer, and a series of rollers are hinged between the two transmission chains on each side. The rollers engage with the teeth of the traction rack to drive the escalator to run. The rolling rollers are made of polyurethane.

2. Inspection of the drive chain

The life of the drive chain depends on whether the engagement between the main wheel and the drive chain plate is normal. In the daily maintenance, you should also pay attention to the above items when checking the gear teeth.

(1) When checking the tension of the drive chain, make sure that the length of the spring is as specified in the design.

(2) Check the running comfort. If the tension of the drive chain is not normal, the running comfort will be affected.

(3) Steps 8 to 10 need to be removed to check whether the drag roller is damaged, worn or peeled off.

3. Cleaning of the drive chain

Clean the sand and dust on the drive chain.

4. Lubrication of the drive chain

After cleaning the drive chain, it is necessary to apply the special oil for elevators.

5. Adjustment of the drive chain

Adjust the tension of the drive chain according to the design regulations.

6. Replacement of drive chain

(1) If 3 of the 8 drag rollers are broken and damaged, the entire drive chain must be replaced.

(2) When the elongation of the drive chain reaches 0.9%, the entire set of drive chains must be replaced.
